  1. Let’s just say that Dostoevsky is always get the big picture, whatever subtleties it might employ. Here, it is not possible to reject the magnitude of this history as “minor” as critics often will if the events of fiction are considered too fantastic and exaggerated, or, if you like, ridiculous. And of course, is precisely this condition of being ridiculous, not only to reconcile with the narrator, but never even heard his salvation and not merely as his downfall. As for the “dream. “That is the question. As the relevance or not this story is a work of fiction, as is the case for the relevance of Jonah was really in the belly of a whale. All these distinctions are becoming irrelevant, it is precisely where the player takes Dostoyevsky. Because – if it has been imagined, if it exists in the representation, history, and especially if we can get logic to work, it is real and there is only one layer of reality . The truth of the other is a different chose.Je believe that this book provides a base so close to the brilliance of Dostoyevsky as it is a treasure. And we hope that you will buy this story and agree and keep it as a treasure. The short work of authors are often overlooked. Tolstoy considered. I think the only thing he wrote in the 20th Cent. (Death thereafter) is a five-page story, Alyosha the Pot. “There is also” The Death of Ivan Illych. “And of course, Tolstoy has always been a gigantic task as the writing of war and peace. But I’ll tell you, I’d trade any of these stories, yes, even the page five Alyosha the Pot for its poetic beauty and surprising without war and paix.Maintenant with Dostoevsky I’m not extreme. His novels are unprecedented in scale and detail is stunning . It is among the greatest novelists in the world. Yet, watching over his new, and I do mean many beyond Notes from the Underground, which lacks a perspective on the incomplete and creates man’s capacities as a writer. Regarding the translation, the good old faithful Constant Garnett is still redeem us from ignorance of Russian literature though many things have to be retranslated. On the way She did a great job! The language is perfect! Rating: 5 / 5

  2. About twenty pages in length, I found this short story to be the most docile of the works of Dostoevsky. The story is also set up as many of his are: a reclusive, narcissistic man in a seemingly meaningless. The narrator of this story is so selfish and bitter that he chose suicide was wondering if the whole universe will be extinguished with her death. However, a random event that causes ridiculous man recalled his conscience and a dream strange ridiculous man gives an opportunity for redemption – one that he embraces the difference between man’s souterrain.Une beautiful little story – much more positive than some work Dostoïevski.Cette history can be found in many anthologies Dostoyevky there is no reason to shell big bucks for it in the solitaire version.
